Beckonscot Model Village



Bekonscot Model Village & Railway, the world's oldest model village. We are located in Beaconsfield, Bucks, just off the M40 and M25 motorways and minutes by car or train from Central London. This unique piece of England's heritage continues to delight and fascinate both children and adults – there’s so much to see! Bekonscot is different from other model villages; this is an entire miniature kingdom stuck firmly in an idyllic 1930s timewarp.
There are six little villages in a 1½ acre miniature landscape of farms and fields, castles and churches, woods, lakes and rolling hills. Walking around, you’ll tower over the tiny population enjoying the fun of the fair, beaches, zoo and tramway, or lazily watching the cricket on the village green. Each village is linked by one of Britain's largest public outdoor model garden railways.

Tiggywinkles

Every year in Britain over five million wild animals and birds are injured as a direct result of their encounters with man and man's world. Tiggywinkles, The Wildlife Hospital Trust is a specialist hospital. Using all available veterinary welfare skills, we are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife.We deal with over 70,000 calls each year.
All British wild animal casualties brought to the hospital are treated completely free of  charge and are released through a controlled programme, back to the wild, when they are fully fit. No sick, injured or orphaned wild creature is ever turned away. Every casualty is given a chance, we do not have a 'put down policy', euthanasia is only ever applied as a last resort. Any animal or bird unable to be released is maintained at the Hospital, or at our Field Centre, in as natural conditions as possible.
