An Interview with Pure Genius
“Pure Genius as a band has now been going for 10 years now and started out as a random jam session called 'Free Beer' just to get the punters in. Our main objective was to play covers to make you feel good and ones that other bands were not playing, or wouldn't attempt. After several changes of clientele and names the band have now emerged in to one of the Midlands most requested party band play weddings, parties, corporate events and several charity fundraisers all around the region.
It’s been a long hard round but the band have invested heavily in to equipment and advertising and now plan to celebrate their centenary with a Live video which is currently being edited as we speak. This follows our first session in the studio 6 months ago.
Our aim is still the same as when we started - make people smile, make them dance and unlock a hidden song they forgot about! Wake up the next day whistling a tune you heard last night!
I still get surprised when people say "but you all look like you enjoy yourselves.....!" Derrr...don’t all bands? And the answer to that is NO! So that may be the secret ingredient I believe we have!
Long live Pure Genius and we will keep on going till the fire in our souls die! Probably never!”
