Chequers (Houghton Regis)

 Chequers is situated on a roundabout in Houghton Regis.  This quite old building has been modernised over the years, with the latest refurbishment in November 2007 being a fantastic £750,000 redevelopment.  The colour scheme is deep burgundies, browns, mustards and dark blues, which blend together to give a great stylish look.  A separate coffee bar area, has the most up-to-date coffee machine, offering you a range of bean to cup speciality coffees, freshly ground infront of you.  Chequers is designed in a horseshoe shape with various seating options throughout including, leather sofas to relax and enjoy a drink alone or with friends and booth seating some of which have DVD players so children can enjoy a movie while you enjoy a drink or finish your meal.  With a huge 268 covers, we are a large establishment, aiming to offer good quality food and efficient friendly service. Partial table service is on offer, so you just order your starter or main meal and we will do the rest, bringing drinks and desserts to your table, from where you can pay without having to leave your seat.  We pride ourselves on offering quality pub food, in big portions, our food can be chosen from the main menu, full of all types of dishes.  The Chequers is a new and exciting venue, where the whole family can enjoy a meal or you can come along for just a sociable drink.
