Lord Nelson (Wantage)

The Lord Nelson is a family friendly pub which welcomes locals, visitors and passers by.  We are on the main Wantage to Oxford road just off the A34.  Being on a walkers route, known as The Ridgeway, we are always a popular choice for ramblers to drop in.  Quality, value for money food is on offer from an extensive Hungry Horse menu and on Sundays we have an excellent Carvery with fresh seasonal vegetables and a choice of meats.  With a wide selection of drinks to accompany your meal and a range of speciality coffees to finish off, this is a great choice.  We are renowned in the area for serving large portions of wholesome food so no customer will leave here disappointed!  To cater for non diners we have a sports bar with plasma screen so you can watch your favourite match in a trouble free, friendly atmosphere.  Alternatively you can have a quiet drink and a game of  cribbage, pool or darts.  All this can be enjoyed in our brightly decorated bar and restaurant or out in the large beer garden during the warm weather.  The Lord Nelson always offers you excellent service and the warmest of welcomes with our staff and regulars looking forward to seeing you here soon.
